Dell Café has been family run since 1988 and prides itself in providing high quality fresh food and refreshment. It is ideally located on the beach front in Puckpool Park with idyllic views over Puckpool Sands and the Solent. There has always been a beach cafe on this site since at least the 1950's. It is accessed either by walking along the seawall between Seaview and Ryde or catching the Dotto Train from Ryde or through Puckpool Park, where ample free parking is available.
Alison and Jason have taken over the café in the last three years and have introduced a varied and healthy menu with regularly changing specials, often influenced from their travels abroad. Freshly cooked baguettes and breads witha variety of fillings, toasted Ciabatas, fresh local seafood and fresh exotic salads are just a few of the options on the menu. The café also offers fresh ground coffee, frappuccinos, lattés, smoothies and cold drinks as well as a selection of freshly baked home made cakes. The café has recently been granted a Table Licence, and has since added cold beers and fine wines to the already extensive and varied menu. Ongoing alterations are an integral part of the improvement of the café and full French Doors opening onto decking were installed in 2004, giving a cosmopolitan feel to an already cosy eclectic beachside café. Also new to 2004 was the instigation of the late night Friday opening of a Seafood Restaurant during the month of August, which is proving extemely popular and needs to be booked well in advance to save disappointment.
